high-end luxury, on-mountain exhilaration with a sophisticated alpine village
atmosphere.
Halfway between one of North America’s coolest mountain towns and one of
the world’s most beautiful alpine lakes, Northstar is a destination on
the rise, having poured nearly a billion dollars into creating Lake
Tahoe’s premier luxury snowsports experience. Upscale shops, refined dining and Lake Tahoe’s only five-star slopeside lodging is married to impeccable grooming, incredible tree skiing and enough variety to challenge every level of skier (and world-class terrain parks to keep the kids busy).

Northstar is one of the best ski resorts in Tahoe and the 3rd largest. The backside has plenty of challenging blacks, while the frontside is well-protected from the wind. While other resorts might be on wind-hold, Northstar will continue to run during bad weather. There are 17 lifts and 89 trails consisting of open powder and machine groomed snow.

The Village at Northstar is a beehive of activity in winter. There is a plethora of childrens activities at Mine, live music on the plaza on weekends, free ice skating and bungy jumping and ongoing activities sponsored by the various boutiques and eateries.
