Welcome to Austin’s At Austin’s, we are committed to using only high quality fresh ingredients to create our homestyle American cuisine. Our commitment is also to the health of our community and environment. We proudly feature seasonal, local and organic produce from various sustainable farms. We support abundant oceans and serve only sustainable seafood. Our disposable service ware , from straws to takeout bags, is biodegradable and compostable. Our trans-fat free oil is used to make biofuel and all of our cardboard, paper, glass, plastic and tin is reused or recycled.We would like to thank the following local businesses for the care they put into their products that we serve: Al Bees raw honey, Truckee Sourdough Company breads,Alpen Sierra organic coffee, Liesl’s cheesecakes, Great Basin Icky IPA, Davidson’s organic teas, Great Basin Community Food Co-op seasonal produce and chef Colby Leonard for his menu contributions.
The Food
Every morning the staff dices, slices, shreds, stirs, mixes and bakes. For more than a decade Austin’s family recipes have delighted locals and visitors alike. Choices include their famous chicken fried chicken, huge salads, smothered ribeye, mountain rainbow trout, homemade meatloaf, burgers, sandwiches and pesto pasta prima vera, all of which come with one, two or even four of their delicious homemade sides.
The Drinks
Austin’s stocks a full bar with a wonderful by-the-glass wine list and mountain size martinis. The drink menu also includes abroad selection of beers.
Catering at Lake Tahoe
We offer takeout and drop-off catering from 5-50 people. We can provide you with quality fresh appetizers, salads, sandwiches, soups, and main course entrees… All at affordable prices.
